Is this REALLY free? What's the "catch"?
Yes, it’s truly free — no catch.We’re built for small home service businesses, especially those still relying on their personal cell phones, spreadsheets, and notes. ServPad is the natural next step: a powerful, easy-to-use tool that helps elevate your business without cutting into your profits. We’re here to support solopreneurs and small teams with something that just works... and you don't need to spend a penny to use it!
How can you afford to offer this?
There are several reasons we can offer ServPad for free. First, the small home services market is over 1 million strong and growing — we don’t need to monetize every user. Second, requiring payment or a credit card is a barrier for many, especially first-time users and those evaluating every cost in their business budget, so we’ve removed that entirely. To offset major costs and provide a stable, growing platform, we charge $59 per month if you want to collect payments via stripe directly within our platform. Otherwise, we also include a small link on our lead capture forms, emails and quotes that help spread the word and bring us new users. This model allows us to confidently offer our core product 100% free, forever!
How do you make money if it's free?
The only paid option is to process credit card payments directly through our application. When you do so, we connect you directly to Stripe to get their best rates which are currently 2.9%+.30 per transaction. We don't mark up your costs with them whatsoever and you absolutely are NOT required to process payments through our platform. You can still track your payments against invoices.
Isn't your plan to charge every user fees?
Absolutely not! We estimate about 30% of customers will choose to process payments through ServPad for convenience or to save on fees. But if you prefer cash, checks, third-party platforms like ©Zelle or ©Venmo, or already have a processor you like, that’s fine too — we’ll still track your payments within our software to show invoices as paid!
